Active Members

Active members may vote and hold Constitutional Office in the Society.

Active Academic

Active Academic Members may vote and hold Constitutional Office in the Society.


Associate Members

Associate Members may not vote nor hold Constitutional Office in the Society.

Resident Associate Member

Resident or Fellow in an approved Pathology program in the State of South Carolina

Active Academic

Active academic members must:


  • Be licensed to practice medicine in the State of South Carolina
  • Be a Diplomat of the American Board of Pathology or eligible for examination by that Board
  • Have a practice limited to the Teaching of Pathology or Research in Pathology, in a teaching or research institution in the State of South Carolina
  • Have been duly elected to membership according to Article V of this Constitution
  • Have paid dues and assessments in full for the current year at least by the Annual Fall Meeting of the next fiscal year

Active Members

Active members must:


 

  • Be licensed to practice medicine in the State of South Carolina
  • Be a Diplomat of the American Board of Pathology or eligible for examination by that Board
  • Be actively engaged in the practice of Pathology
  • Have been duly elected to membership according to Article V of this Constitution
  • Have paid dues and assessments in full for the current year at least by the Annual Fall Meeting of the next fiscal year

Associate Members

Associate members must:


  • Be licensed to practice medicine in the State of South Carolina (or)
    • Be engaged in full time practice of Pathology in the Armed Services, temporarily residing in this State as a part of their military duty and are otherwise qualified to become Active Members of the Society (or)
    • Be engaged in the practice of Pathology out of the State of South Carolina and who are otherwise qualified to be Active Members of the Society
  • Be otherwise ineligible for Active membership or Active Academic Members
  • Have been duly elected to membership according to Article V of this Constitution
  • Have paid applicable dues and assessments in full for the current year at least by the Annual Fall Meeting of the next fiscal year

Resident Associate Member

Resident Associate members must:


  • Be a Resident or Fellow in an approved Pathology program in the State of South Carolina, at the end of which would be qualified for Active membership or Active Academic membership, and
  • Be licensed to practice medicine in the State of South Carolina, and
  • Be duly elected to Resident Associate membership according to Article V of this Constitution.
  • Resident Associate Members may not vote nor hold Constitutional Office in the Society.
